Goodbye to Another Friend
Last night my friend Terrence Kiel died in a car accident. You guys might have all known him as the starting safety on the chargers from the year we went 14-2, but I knew him as the funny crazy guy who sat across the table from me at our poker games. I remember so many nights, TK was such an unpredictable player which made him one of my favorites to play against. He would either leave with all your money or none of his, talking shit either way. A guy that could definitely smile and make you laugh no matter what.
I remember one hand against a veteran wide receiver you all know. Flop comes 3c-8c-9c, all clubs. They bet back and forth, getting it all in eventually for a pot thats over 6k. Time to flip over their hands, the wide receiver is all smiles as he flips over the nut flush. TK laughs, says something about it not being over, and flips over Qs-3h for a pair of threes. The turn comes 3s and the river comes 3d, giving TK the winning hand with 4 of a kind threes.
We love you man, we miss you. I miss you.
